BOARDING POLICIES

If your pet should encounter an emergency illness during the stay and you or your emergency contact cannot be reached, we will treat, prescribe for, or operate on the pet as necessary and adjust the bill accordingly.

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE CURRENT ON ALL VACCINATIONS.  Proof must be shown within one hour of check-in or they will be given at the owner's expense. A Bordetella vaccine is required every 6 months.

All animals must be free of internal and external parasites or they will be treated at the owner's expense.

We do what we can to ensure the health of your pet. Anytime you board pets around other animals there is a contagion risk. While our dogs are protected against the Bordetella organism, there are numerous tracheitis viruses to be caught which have no protective vaccine.

Boarding animals are fed twice daily and are let out three times daily unless you specify otherwise.

Sugar Creek Animal Hospital is not responsible for any damaged or misplaced items brought by the owner.

If your pet (dog) is here for 3 nights or longer, they are given a complimentary bath. If you opt to pick your pet up early on the day before a bath can be done, the complimentary bath will be waived. If your pet is being bathed upon arrival, then the owner has the option of waiting for the bath to be completed or coming back at a later time.

If your pet has vomiting or diarrhea while boarding, an exam, fecal test, and (as needed) medicine will be administered. Any expense incurred by this will be your responsibility.

If your pet receives ANY medication while here, the boarding fee is increased. Please speak with our staff on those prices.

If your pet is diabetic, we may need to check their glucose levels. The owner will be responsible for any expense incurred. Check with our staff for the cost of diabetic boarding.
